Firoz Haider Naqvi

We are delighted to know that ‘Department of Heavy Industry’-DHI, ‘Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Government of India’ has appointed Advance Info Media & Events to create food processing, packaging & allied sectors database and do a survey. AFTPAI is the ‘supporting association’ in this endeavour.

Today the Indian food processing industry has reached to a stage wherein the entire world is interested in investing. There has been huge number of foreign direct investment in Indian food processing industry in recent years. Nestle, Kraft, ITC, Pepsi co, Kellogg’s, Mondelez, Unilever are just a few success stories in India too. And with the growth of these MNCs, India has produced its own giants like Haldiram, Balaji, Maiya’s, AMUL, Hatsun, Vadilal, KRBL, Amira, etc. The industry will continue to rise with double digit growth rate in next one more decade.

Demand for good quality technologies and services will further exceed in the country. This kind of database creation and compilation of data into print and online directories will not only enhance the scope for machinery manufacturers but also improve the overall scenario of the industry.

This database will work as a sourcebook for all needs of the agro and food processing industry. I wish the project all success and I hope members of AFTPAI in particular and entire industry in general will support the cause,

Wishing all success to the endeavour,

Sanjeev Gupta

President, AFTPAI
